Since Thais are very individualistic thinking there are many freelancer around.
Many of the individuals are lady-boys who just try to do a hit and run business to get quick cash but most are the good old conventional Thai Girls who want to do it on their own.
The fact is they want to stay anonym and that is often because the guy get a few drops into a liquid to get him unconscious and all valuables are taken. That would be difficult when they are known in a place, they could be traced back. Now, never take freelancer you would almost for sure have a bad awakening.
